From 2005 to 2026, before founding Vivek Saran Consulting: selected experience across FMCG, food processing, dairy, beverages, pharma, plywood, paper, automotive and industrial manufacturing operations - built through roles at eight packaging, coding and automation companies and engagements across hundreds of production facilities in India.

For 20 years I worked inside the companies that make and sell coding and end-of-line equipment. In June 2026 I founded Vivek Saran Consulting to do what those roles never allowed: give manufacturers advice with no product to sell.
I work with manufacturing leaders on a specific class of problems: packaging performance, technology evaluation, operational efficiency and cost optimisation. The perspective I bring is unusual - two decades inside the packaging technology industry, across eight companies, on hundreds of factory floors across India.
My career began at Shubham Packaging (2005) and Shrink Packaging, Clearpack Group (2008), followed by roles at Domino (2010–15), Markem-Imaje (2015–17), UFlex (2017–20), Amazin Automation (2020–22), ColorJet (2022–24) and MapleJet (2024–May 2026) - covering the complete packaging ecosystem from primary coding and labelling to inspection systems and end-of-line automation. I have seen how packaging technology is specified, sold, installed and operated - from both sides of the table.
That experience produced one central conviction: manufacturing performance is rarely limited by a single machine. It is determined by how the complete packaging system is designed, integrated and operated. Most manufacturers buy machines. Very few build packaging systems. The gap between those two approaches is where operating costs rise, uptime falls and reliability suffers - and it is precisely where independent, vendor-neutral analysis creates the most value.
Since June 2026 I advise manufacturers as an independent consultant - with no equipment to sell, no vendor affiliations and no commission arrangements. My recommendations are accountable to one outcome only: your packaging performance.
